Hope isn’t a pray, hope is standing up against the problems and work to a solution. Hope is like utopia, it has no other place than our mind and or will. Hope is the point where your mind gets together with others mind and all in one find out a solution. Hope is seeing the sun when others see only clouds. Hope is based on our strength: the weaker we think we are, the stronger it gets. Hope all the hands I’ve touched in the last two days after the earthquake in central Italy will be joined together on a beach soon, just looking clouds, sea, birds and start a new beginning. I hope. What about you?

How many times philosophy tried to face the question of well being as lack of pains? You can say it happened from the start, without going too far from truth. I’m looking at the sea today: it’s windy and the water moves fast and violently. A life without pain is really something we can dream of? Something like a sea without a wave, without emotions, with nothing more than the same stillness, time and time again? An eternal return of the same frame, same sensation. Are we eternal? We’re just little shells, trying to reach the shore to then turn back fast, wishing for the sea again. No anaesthetics, no philosophy of “the best of possible world”: until it hurts I’ll know I’m alive

Far from faith and religion as is meant in western culture, I just turned back and saw that contrast from inner darkness and out light. My friends say I’m a thinker in musical form: for the structure of my writing, for the constant quoting musicians. Well, can’t avoid thinking about Arvo Pärt and his vision of faith, his using faith as an opposition to system and oppression. As Schlegel stated: “Freedom is nothing. Being free is it all”. I’ve always seen religion as a way for submit men to the system. Just change your context and you have religion as a rebel’s belief. Never put yourself at the centre of the solar system: it suffice the sun. We are such a small thing with an ego full of illusions. “Tabula rasa” can be a new beginning in the offing.

We’re nothing more than leaves. We think to ourselves as the most important part of the whole, we inflate our ego trying to catch as much light as we can. But in the end we are nothing more than a small part in a system, we are a functional part for a system that keeps us alive as long as we contribute to keep it alive. Less ego, less “me”, more “us” surely would be helpful. I’m gonna take a pause, some fresh air, giving some care to who’s always been at my side. And as long as we can, will always be.
